What is FitShyft?
FitShyft is a live, membership-based personal training program for women who want structure and accountability. After you join, we match you with a certified trainer and schedule recurring online sessions via Zoom based on your availability.

How does membership work?
You choose a plan based on how many sessions per week you’d like. Your membership renews automatically every month and includes recurring sessions with your assigned trainer.

Are trainers live or pre-recorded?
Your trainer is present with you in real time during your session.

Can I try a session before I purchase a membership?
Yes. Every membership includes a trial session. There is no charge at sign-up. If you choose not to continue after your first session, you must cancel before your second scheduled session to avoid billing.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards. Payments are processed securely on our website through Stripe. FitShyft does not store your full payment details.

Where are FitShyft trainers based?
FitShyft partners with certified trainers based in Brazil who conduct sessions in English. Our trainers are selected for their expertise, professionalism, and ability to coach clearly in live sessions.

Can I choose my trainer?
FitShyft matches you with a trainer based on your goals, availability, and preferences to ensure the best fit.

When will sessions start?
After purchasing a membership, you will be matched with a trainer within 48 hours. Your first session (which serves as your trial session) will be scheduled during the next full calendar week.

Which days and times will sessions be scheduled?
After you purchase a membership, you’ll provide the days and times you’re available. You’ll then be matched with a trainer who is available during those times, and your sessions will be scheduled on a recurring weekly basis.

How long are sessions?
Each session is 30 minutes. Additional time is allotted for check-ins before and after the session, if necessary.

What do I need for sessions?
A stable internet connection, a device with a camera (phone, tablet, or computer), and enough space to move safely. Your trainer will incorporate any fitness equipment you already have and recommend simple additions if needed based on your goals.

What if I have an injury?
During sign-up, you’ll share any injuries or medical conditions. We match you with a trainer experienced in working within your needs. Always consult your healthcare provider before starting any fitness program.

Are sessions recorded?
Yes. Sessions are recorded for quality assurance, safety, and training purposes. Recordings are used internally to maintain professional standards and ensure a safe experience for both clients and trainers. Any use of recordings for promotional purposes requires separate written consent.

What if I need to miss a session?
If you’re unable to attend a session, please notify us as soon as possible. We’ll work with you to reschedule based on availability.

Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You may cancel at any time. Your membership will remain active through the end of your current billing period and will not renew afterward.

Our Story

FitShyft was born from a deeply personal journey. Founder Sheandra Michelle Newton struggled with her weight since childhood. Like many women, she started and restarted fitness routines on her own, but consistency was always the hardest part. Motivation would come and go. Life would get busy and, without accountability, progress stalled.During a trip to Brazil, everything shifted. Immersed in Brazil’s vibrant fitness culture, Sheandra began working with a local personal trainer. For the first time, she experienced structured, personalized support that she didn't put a huge dent in her monthly budget. The results weren’t just physical. They were mental. Emotional. Sustainable.When Sheandra returned to the United States, she was determined to continue, but the $50 to $70+ session rates at local gyms weren't realistic long term. So she did something different. She continued training with her Brazilian trainer through live video sessions. And that decision changed everything.It proved that consistency doesn’t require a luxury gym. It requires accountability. It requires structure. It requires someone in your corner whose support doesn't cost an arm and a leg.FitShyft was created so women everywhere can access that same level of personalized support without the barriers that too often make personal training feel out of reach.
